Shred...and Save the Planet!
Shred Day 101: What to Expect Before and After for a Successful Fundraising Event

Paper is essential resource, even in our growing digital and paperless world. But, we’re throwing too much of it away.
Did you know that paper accounts for 25 percent of landfill waste around the world?
When you recycle one ton of paper, you save a number of resources, including 682.5 gallons of oil, 26,500 liters of water, and 17 trees.
Our focus at Green Givers is to give your shredded paper another life cycle as recycled paper, and we’re hoping your community will join us.
During a Green Givers Shred Day, your community can:
Prior to Shred Day, it’s easy to start collecting classified papers and documents cluttering up your home, study, or office in one of our 6-gallon Green Givers Seal ‘N Shred bag. These bags are made from cultivated older trees and complete with an adhesive seal made from 100 percent biodegradable potato starch. They’re easy to fill, seal, and shred—all without any hassle.
On Shred Day, our secure shredding trucks will arrive on-site and Green Givers employees will shred the collected Seal ‘N Shred bags.
You may not believe it, but the entire Green Givers Seal ‘N Shred 6-gallon bags are completely shredding equipment friendly—the whole thing goes straight into the shredder! You’re welcome to watch the entire shredding process.
Afterwards, Green Givers can provide a Certificate of Destruction and certify how many trees were saved by your community shredding effort. We can even commemorate the day by planting a tree!
It’s up to all of us to become part of the solution. Are you ready to make a commitment to going green?
